By far the biggest festive event that resonated with everyone up and down the land was Argos putting up image scans of all of their catalogues since their very first one from 1974 onto a new “Book Of Dreams” website. You couldn’t move for articles, tweets and posts about people reminiscing about their childhood toys and gifts!

On a smaller scale, Greggs launched a competition to see which major city would be the site of the relaunch of the Festive Bake, and they had a suitably non-understated ad to go with it.

More subtly, the London Bridge area had a lovely Snowman trail as variously-decorated snowmen from “The Snowman” were dotted up and down London’s River Thames.

The TV show “Taskmaster” has become the Dave channel’s biggest hit over the years - so big that Channel 4 has poached it for the next series! Creator Alex Horne decided to set the “12 Tasks Of Christmas” on Twitter throughout December, and some of the responses have to be seen to be believed!
