A Welcome Respite

When you’re not stuffing your mouth with goodies, there was plenty to have a good laugh about. The scattergun advert approach was popular this year, with some major brands choosing to have a series of short funny ads instead of a single blockbuster. Waitrose did it best, with ads showing the lengths people would go to in order to eat their food sooner.

Waitrose even their own John Lewis advert reaction ad! And they were right - we preferred the one with the penguin, too!

Virgin went straight for the cuteness overload ad, where a little boy goes into Santa’s grotto, and Santa has to go away for a bit, leaving his phone behind in the process. The kid is left to look after the place, and naturally the phone starts ringing...
